    PLAY PALs
    Project Origins: The Police Athletic League (PAL) uses athletic and academic programs to deter at-risk youth from crime and violence. UNC Charlotte partnered with the Charlotte-Mecklengburg Sherrif's Department out of a desire to help the local youth.

     

    Project Objective: The objective of this project is to serve as positive role models to youth identified as at-risk and promote SIFE principles by involving our team with kinds in interactive, fun, yet educational activities.

     

     

    Target Audience: This project targets young students between the ages of 4 and 17 who are identified as at risk either by an educational or social perspective in the Charlotte community.

     

     

    Project Leader: Brittany Williams

     

     

    Project Implementation Dates: Year round.
