Last Saturday, February 21, UNC Charlotte SIFE held their first annual GREEN3 workshop.  The workshop's purpose was to create awareness about environmental issues in our community.  GREEN3 was met with a great level of enthusiasm as 53 attendees were present at the event.

Those who attended the workshop were provided environmental literature as well as chances to win eco-friendly products.  Products included reusable shopping bags, Clorox Green Works cleaning products, and energy saving light bulbs.  Additionally, the event's key sponsor, Unilever, had water bottles made specifically for the event.

The next step in the project will be the phase of the second inspection, held on March 7.  Participant's apartments will be inspected one final time to see what changes they've made; we hope that the GREEN3 workshop has helped each participant come one step closer in living environmentally friendly.
